Privacy policy

This policy covers the Nova Google Calendar integration described on this website, operated by Tyler Mayberry, and this informational website.

Information accessed and purpose

When you authorize the calendar integration, it accesses basic Google account information (name, email address, and profile information) and read-only calendar data available to that account. Calendar data may include calendar names, event titles, descriptions, dates and times, locations, meeting links, and attendee information supplied by Google. The integration uses this information to connect the correct account and display your schedule on your desktop.

Storage and security

The desktop integration retrieves data directly from Google. It stores authorization credentials in an encrypted local credential store and writes a local cache of normalized calendar events used by the desktop widget. Event cache files are protected by local operating-system permissions, not separate application-level encryption. Device security and any device backups remain the responsibility of the device owner.

This informational website does not receive Google calendar data or authorization credentials. Cloudflare hosts the website and may process IP addresses, request metadata, and security logs to deliver and protect it. We do not add advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or tracking cookies to these pages.

Use and sharing

Calendar data is used for the authorized scheduling functionality. We do not sell calendar data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI or machine-learning models. The desktop calendar integration does not send calendar data to this website. Google processes API requests under its own policies. Information may be disclosed if legally required or when the account holder explicitly directs a separate disclosure.

Nova's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention and your controls

The calendar cache is refreshed periodically and normally contains events from the previous seven days through the next sixty days. Credentials are retained locally to support automatic refresh until removed or revoked. Local backups may retain earlier copies.

You can revoke Nova's authorization in Google Account connections. Revocation stops future authorized requests; it does not automatically erase an existing local cache. To remove stored data, stop the calendar sync and remove its local calendar cache and account credential profile, including any backups you control. Contact the operator for assistance.
